Bad Weather Closure Plan
If there is a bad weather situation and a possible closure of Mt. Carmel call the church at 503-244-5143. We will change the greeting to indicate a closure at least two hours before service time. Pastor Glenn will also send an email to this list with the closure information. The Lewis & Clark inclement weather line is 503-768-SNOW and would also make a good source of local conditions for Mt. Carmel. Campus Safety posts adverse weather conditions/closures even during winter break and holidays.

Our vision at Mt. Carmel is to share our relationship with Jesus by building loving inclusive relationships which nurture faith, healing, and forgiveness.

Mt. Carmel is a member of the E.L.C.A. (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) Oregon Synod.

Mt. Carmel is a community dedicated to providing a safe and healing place for people to grow and connect with God through worship, friendships, study, and service to our neighbors, far and near, who need a helping hand.

So marvelous are your works, O God! So wondrous are your deeds. Hidden from our eyes, you move to save us. In the quietest of ways you set in motion the greatest of tasks. Intricately wrought, eternal in scope, human in execution, you bring your saving love to fulfillment.
