Messages (otherwise known as sermons) . . . ."Being a saint in the kingdom of God is not for the “faint of heart”!" . . . . . . .“Take on new forms and shapes” - this is the scariest part of renewal in the church, because it means we must not be afraid to try new things, and do old things in new ways. . . . If we only do what we’ve already done, we will only get what we’ve already got!” . . . . . . . . .As a rule of thumb, we can probably presume that the stranger the circumstances under which we are being asked to do something new, the more likely it is that God is the one calling us. . . . . We shouldn’t be too upset or dismayed when things don’t go the way WE think they should, or - like our make-believe Joseph above - when our prayers aren’t answered in the way we think they should be. God knows what is best for the Church, and God knows what is best for us, . . . . |

Mt. Carmel is a community dedicated to providing a safe and healing place for people to grow and connect with God through worship, friendships, study, and service to our neighbors, far and near, who need a helping hand. So marvelous are your works, O God! So wondrous are your deeds. Hidden from our eyes, you move to save us. In the quietest of ways you set in motion the greatest of tasks. Intricately wrought, eternal in scope, human in execution, you bring your saving love to fulfillment. Lisa Frenz copyright 2002 |
