Located in Southwest Portland, Mount Carmel is a small Lutheran church with an intimate, supportive family atmosphere in the midst of this urban setting.

Driving Instructions:
From I-5 take the SW Terwilliger Blvd. Exit. Go south on Terwilliger, following the signs to Lewis & Clark College. Turn right at SW Maplecrest Dr. (Just past Riverdale High School and just before the stop light at the intersection of Boones Ferry & Terwilliger.)

From Lake Oswego take SW Terwilliger past Lewis & Clark Law School, turning left at SW Maplecrest Dr., immediately past the stop light at the intersection of Boones Ferry & Terwilliger.

Watch for the Mt. Carmel signs located on both sides of Terwilliger at Maplecrest Drive.

We shouldn’t be too upset or dismayed when things don’t go the way WE think they should, or - like our make-believe Joseph above - when our prayers aren’t answered in the way we think they should be. God knows what is best for the Church, and God knows what is best for us, . . . .
